Fast Food & Quick Service Restaurant Chains

More and more fast food / quick service restaurant chains are identifying what menu items contain gluten, wheat and other key food allergen concerns.

However, keep in mind that it is extremely difficult to ask questions about the ingredients and food preparation when ordering in a fast food atmosphere.

To simplify special diet requests, some of the restaurants chains have developed specific gluten free menus and / or allergen charts for customers.

In order to understand what menu items are prepared without gluten and/or other allergens of concern, we recommend two options to help ensure safe eating at fast food chains:

  • Personalize the innovative iCanEat OnTheGo Gluten & Allergen Free application for your iPhone, iPod touch and / or iPad
  • Review and print out the specific gluten free menus, allergen charts and other nutritional information from the chain website by accessing the links provided below

It should be noted that the allergen charts detail where the top 8 allergens including eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, peanuts, soy, tree nuts and wheat can be found in the various menu items based on food labeling regulations.

Be sure to read all of the explanations provided by each chain describing food preparation and potential cross contamination considerations prior to ordering any menu items.
